RE: RE: The Bottom Line on 247 and ISA

RE: RE: The Bottom Line on 247 and ISA" no convincing evidence thtat 247 is truly better than cyclosporine ".....well the head-to-head trial will tell

I for one satisfy with the safety profile of the kidney trial in spite of the fact that this trial  was designed to compare with Tac....the GFR of the high dose group was good and the Cr level reading was 130 that wasn't far off as some the patients having higher baseline to start with. Besides, the other safety parameters showed exceptionally good results. keep it in mind, this drug has a wide therapeutic window providing a wide dosing range. A high dosing range can be ultilized during acute rejection period and once a patient's condition is stabilized, he can be switched to lower dosing range.   Tac has been proven to have a better safety profile in kidney function in comparing with cyclosporin. Voclo had even better GFR and  Cr level readings in the mid-dose group.

As to speak, you need some historical kidney transplant trial data involving cyclosporin in the past to back up this speculation.
