N00bish question...

N00bish question...I'll say up front that I know this question is n00bish (read: new investor).  I'm young and this is the first time I've experienced the selling of a property of this nature (potentially of course).

If CUMO is sold, at whatever price, how exactly - as shareholders - would we see the profits from the sale? 

I'm sure there are many answers to this question and it depends on the package from the company purchasing the property, but I'm curious to hear some thoughts. 

Do they traditionally do cash-only deals?  In that case, how would the money filter down to the individual investor?
