HOD's investment objective, which became effective at the close of business on July 9, 2020, is to seek daily investment resHOD's investment objective was changed after gaining approval at a meetiults, before fees, expenses, distributions, brokerage commissions and other transaction costs, that endeavour to correspond to up to two times (200%) the inverse (opposite) of the daily performance of the Horizons Crude Oil Rolling Futures Index (the Underlying Index, Bloomberg ticker: CMDYCLER). HOD is denominated in Canadian dollars. Any U.S. dollar gains or losses as a result of the ETFs investment are hedged back to the Canadian dollar to the best of its ability. In order to achieve this objective, the total underlying notional value of these instruments and/or securities will typically not exceed two times the total assets of the ETF. As such, HOD employs absolute leverage.

Reminds me of a joke... this market does I mean...

Reminds me of a joke... this market does I mean...
Guy goes to Hell.  Devil says "You can choose one of three rooms to spend eternity in..."  First room is guys being flogged while they shovel coal on the fires of Hell...  Second room the souls of the damned are being tortured by being forced to perform degrading sex acts...  The 3rd room has people sitting around up to their arm pits in fresh diahrea,  drinking coffee.  The guy figures "I can handle this one better than the other two so I will take this one..."  Devil hands him a cup of coffee and seats him in the liquid steaming stuff...

Just then a buzzer sounds and the guy in the room with the whip shouts "Alright !!!   Coffee break is over,  EVERYBODY GET BACK ON THEIR HEADS..."

I tihnk that's what the oil traders just did this morning.  And they are whipping oil relentlessly...

Glad to be in HOD ...  hope some guys took the opportunity to exit HOU in time...
