Shares of Explorator Resources (TSX: V.EXO, Stock Forum) climbed more than 16% to 21 cents Wednesday after the company announced an agreement just before Tuesday’s market close for Sociedad Punta del Cobre S.A. to acquire a 51% interest in its Explorator Chile subsidiary for US$17 million. The agreement also requires SPC to provide up to $1.5 million in additional funds to carry out a bankable feasibility study with respect to the El Espino project.
CanAsia Industries (TSX: V.CAJ, Stock Forum) announced that its Reed Lake work program is now underway and it notified by the operator that the permit for two grids totaling 24 line kilometres has now been received from the Manitoba government. The company says line cutting and a surface geophysical survey will begin immediately, with the survey consisting of 24 line kilometres of horizontal loop electromagnetic survey at 25-metre spacing and a magnetometer survey at 25-metre spacing. Shares of the company soared 17.6% to 10 cents.
Shares of KWG Resources (TSX: V.KWG, Stock Forum) were up 16.7% to 3.5 cents as the company said Wednesday that it has entered into a an option agreement with Cliffs Natural Resources (NYSE: CLF, Stock Forum), granting Cliffs an irrevocable option to purchase and acquire certain securities of KWG in the aggregate amount of US$3.5 million. KWG says that Cliffs has expressed interest in KWG's potential claims to ferro chrome deposits and that the Option Agreement provides that Cliffs will not participate in any distribution by KWG of the equity of Debuts Diamonds Inc.

Highlights of the latest results include: 20 metres of 14.00 g/t gold, 10 metres of 3.70 g/t gold, 32 metres of 2.41 g/t gold and 20 metres of 1.45 g/t gold, over 200 metres of strike within the plus 1000 metre long continuously gold mineralized Miwah zone.
