RE: McKenzie Pipe news.

RE: McKenzie Pipe news. The news report by CBC has an important paragraph that was not mentioned in some other news reports.

https://www.cbc.ca/canada/north/story/2009/01/19/mgp-prentice.html

Read this right at the end.

"A spokesman for the Joint Review Panel said it is considering whether it can speed up the timeline for releasing a decision, after some of the agencies that created the panel called for that decision to come out in March and not December as planned."

There are a lot of people that live in the immediate area of the pipeline that are concerned about the environment but those people and others across Canada also are beginning to feel the economic impact of the nearly total lack of exploration drilling and infrastructure construction in the far north. There are also major environmental initiatives underway to replace coal & oil fired electric generating stations with cleaner gas fired facilities. They will need this gas in the near future to continue to move forward with the greening of the electrical supply without creating shortages of supply or price spikes. Would be a disaster for Canada if it were placed in a position of net importer of natural gas. Canada needs to build this pipeline to control delivery of its own gas at an affordable price.

Cheers,

JR.
