RE: Jennifer Stevenson

RE: Jennifer StevensonOpinion of the pipeline sounds like U.S. Democrat's view of additional offshore Florida drilling.

Can't get production for X number of years, so money is better spent elsewhere.  Conservation and such, plus they are against it in general anyway.

Well, with that attitude, preparing for tomorrow never happens and tomorrow never gets the reserves and production it needs.  That's the attitude that got us where we are today.  We've had oil and gas shocks since the 1970's and put off the necessary development (US more than Canada) each time.

That policy of we need it now so preparing for tomorrow doesn't help us today is short sighted and dumb.  The forever moving window of opportunity keeps marching into the future and we pay the shock prices each time.  And what if N America gets shut off by risky oil producing nations at some point and time?  It would be disasterous.

Yup, keep putting it off.  She lost credibility in my book.
