RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RENot that I'm sold on a positive outcome just yet, we don't need a cashout to reap the rewards of a successful bid...anything that's on the up and up will translate to shareholder value, would it not?

If someone were to offer a share exchange, or a partnership, it will crystallise the "potential" value of the stock. It won't be worth 50 cents in the event of a joint Look-Telus venture...or a straight up trade of shares for spectrum.

Anyone who bids, has to attach a value to the spectrum. Is it worth 250? 500? More? Either way, their bid will have to be of similar value. I doubt we'll see offers of wagon wheels and hog's heads (although they may be tempted to toss them in for good measure).

I think the reasonable people are not expecting a cash out. This doesn't mean the value of the stock will stay the same if someone puts in a successful bid. Even a limited partnership, with a company that's capable of using the spectrum to reach the 18 million peeps who fall under it, will yield a significantly higher share price than what we are seeing now.
