HOD is denominated in Canadian dollars. Any U.S. dollar gains or losses as a result of the ETFs investment are hedged back to the Canadian dollar to the best of its ability. In order to achieve this objective, the total underlying notional value of these instruments and/or securities will typically not exceed two times the total assets of the ETF. As such, HOD employs absolute leverage.

Anyone squeeze out gains today?

Trading range was very tight today - I managed to short HOU @ $7.81 and covered @ $7.57, but that's about it. Was hoping to see Oil get back up to $42 so I can go short again. Hard to say what tomorrow brings. My hunch is that the Dow and S&P rebounds slightly. Or maybe the markets start to get scared about the Dow being near support and potentially falling through it. Hopefully we get some nice swings on Oil tomorrow, regardless.
