* Areva to enrich uranium for EDF

* Areva to sign Indian nuclear reactor deal

(Adds detail of Indian deal)

PARIS, Feb 3 (Reuters) - France's Areva (CEPFi.PA) said it won a deal worth more than 5 billion euros ($6.43 billion) from French power giant EDF (EDF.PA) to enrich uranium and was set to sign an agreement to build two nuclear reactors in India.

State-controlled Areva did not give details of how much nuclear fuel it would supply for EDF or when it was due to supply it.

EDF needs fuel for the 58 nuclear reactors it operates in France, and the new-generation 1,650 megawatt EPR (Evolutionary Power Reactor) facility it is currently building near Flamanville, in northern France.

The uranium will be provided by Areva's future 3 billion euro new generation Georges Besse II enrichment plant, which has been under construction since 2006 and is due to come on-stream later this year.

EDF will also be involved in the construction of a second EPR in France and the building of four reactors in Britain following its takeover of British Energy (BGY.L).

Areva covers all nuclear activities from the mining and enrichment of uranium to the construction of nuclear plants and the recycling of nuclear waste. Continued...
