RE: OT....anyone here know if TIM

RE: OT....anyone here know if TIMTIM was my favourite stock on the board, and I rode that one on its ups and downs flipping the whole way up from $3 - $29 - and called it quits , then watched in horror as it screamed even higher to $36. Whoops. I called it my "ATM Machine" and made me the majority of the capital that I was able to dump into this play. That being said, their greatest selling point was their claimed ability to manufacture their polysilicon at $15/kg, compared to the industry standard at around $30/kg. (My numbers might be a bit off, but you get the point) They would not disclose to anyhow how they mysteriously figured out the "secret formula" to do this, even though they only spent $1 MIL in R&D, while the bigger players were spending vast millions on their R&D and could not achieve their claimed results. Well guess what? Once they actually started producing, it turns out their true costs of producing were around $30, or the same as the rest of the business - there goes their advantage. Stock then cratered down to $12, then oil collapsed and solar become much more expensive relative to convential fossil fuels, and down further it went. I do think they will eventually bang their costs down, and that oil will rise once again in price making them a viable energy source, but I cannot say when that day will be. Their "secrecy" is a bit of BS as well. At that being said, I think it is an OK longer-term hold, speculative buy.

Wow that was long winded.

Why the hell is 4-Skin so sour today? Did you loadup in the high 30's or something? The stock sold off of news, so phakking what. WAHHHH. DOW is -390 right now, now that is insane.
