RE: picked up 85000 shs. today.I would be willing to bet that Murphy sold you those shares monkey6. If you notice on the board yesterday that Murphy was pumping CDB at the open. Shortly thereafter a lot of shares were unloaded on the bid. Coincidence? You tell us Murph, did you pare down your CDB holding yesterday?
Anyways the posters who are predicting that CDB is going to be a winner and that the share price is going to be 8, 10, 15 and 50 cents by a predetermined time line are obviously heavily invested and obviously would like to see the share price increase. So on goes the pump to achieve higher prices. Notice how no explanation is given to warrant such a large increase in share price. Other than chart TA and a mysterious 480ft coal intercept. Sure the chart is showing an uptrend and is supported by numerous technical indicators that the uptrend is going to continue but we all know how fast the technicals can turn on a venture traded exchange. So in my opinion the chart has been good for several weeks now but believe me if you wait for technicals to deteriorate in order to help you decide your exit point it will be too late. In other words the share price will drop substantially before technicals turn sour. So therefore technicals are very short term on a company such as CDB and cannot be relied upon to much.
Now here is the flipside to the predictions of CDB reaching higher share prices and with actual facts to support my theory unlike the gurus who predict higher share prices with no facts to support it. So lets start with the properties. OK maybe they do have coal in Saskatchewan but the question is how much and of what quality. They may come out with some historical information but the historicals will not tell you much. So CDB will need to do some drilling to verify the historical information. Ok so far there is no reason to expect an increase in share price. Now the second most important factor is cash or lack thereof. Last NR states 750K in cash. That is not a lot of cash. So if you talk to Mr Macey he will tell you straight out that he will probably wait for some of his neighbors to drill and see what they find before CDB drills anything. Rich did indicate that he may twin some historical holes that may have contained some coal. But again no grade will be known until the holes have been drilled and analysed. So far I still don't see a reason for the share price to increase dramatically as a matter of fact the odds of any of these area plays to find any coal to rival what GXS has drilled up so far are probably pretty small and has anybody had a look at GXS share price lately. You get the point. As far as the potash properties go well the same goes for the potash. Only drilling will confirm what you have, and you do need a lot of cash to drill. I read a post earlier that he assumed that CDB would like to drill before breakup. Well first of all you need permits and then you need to ready the ground for the drills. If Rich waits for other companies to drill before he makes a commitment to a drill program well I don't think CDB will be drilling anytime soon. As a matter of fact it wouldn't surprise me if CDB doesn't drill til next winter. So in closing I see many more scenarios where the share price will drop rather than inrease.
Anyhows this is all my humble opinion
