The McGuinty government is pushing sustainable energy in a large way. The Federal government is rushing legislation through Parliament, which is expected by April that will cut down the red tape associated with special interest groups delaying sustainable projects and other infustructure, in an effort to assist in rapidly escalating the needed projects. I cannot see any opposition party interfering.
That is very encouraging in itself and indicates to me that projects are going to go ahead with the co-operation of both levels of government.
This, along with the renewed co-operation between the U.S. and Canada, and a realistic green approach touted by both, after decades of deterioration and U.S. bashing by political entities, should bode well for sustainable energy and the economy in general. However it won't be overnight.
