The Pijili project consists of five concessions totaling approximately 3,254 hectares (ha). Pijili is located in the province of Azuay, approximately 150 kilometers (km) from the major port city of Guayaquil. The Santiago Project consists of a single concession that encompasses about 2,350 ha.

Recent comments by President Correa

During a meeting withCanadian investors earlier this week, President Correa commented,"Canada has always been a good friend of Ecuador." He added: "In themining sector, the majority (of investment) is Canadian. They are theones that respect the environment and laws of the country." In anofficial press release, the presidential communication secretary said,"The government is very interested in deepening contracts with Canada."

Thecompany welcomes the president's comments and looks forward tocontinuing its work with the government to develop a sustainable andresponsible mining industry in Ecuador.

Fred Salazar and others on the board of directors have great relations with the Ecuador government.
