RE: RE: RE: No news is....
Wow, I can't wait to see how close to those estimates the actuals are.  Are you a betting gal?  A scotch drinker?  Wanna place a wager around those numbers?

My guess is that analyst profitability estimates are coming mostly from MENA volume...which, to my understanding, has been relatively unaffected by this recession (compared to Europe, NA, and China).

However, I DO wonder if those first quarter estimates were made before the recession hit.  If they were, then those numbers might be off.  I'm saying that because of the media reports of the massive switch to prepaid in the US, and to a lesser extent here in Canada.

That may or may not be reflected in first quarter numbers...recession really began in October, VSI's first quarter in November.   But the US recession, while bad news for almost everyone else, will provide a kick in the pants to VSI's US market entry.

If those profitability estimates are potentially true (and if it is largely due to MENA) then if there is a good chance that you'll see Privinvest in buying if the price drops once trading begins again.  They are behind the wheel over there  and aren't standing knee-deep in market jitters.  And what's a big deal to the average puny investor like you and me (it's painful to type "puny", but it's true) is chump change for them.

It will all unfold as it should.

I've been reading the Globe and Mail about China, and the government's move to try to turn a nation of producers into a nation of consumers.  Still wondering how that will impact things like cell phone growth.  Whaddya think?
