RE: What is the value in Gold?GET ONE FREE HERE - AN EDUCATION IN GOLD (THAT IS REALLY AN EDUCATION IN HISTORY)

Sprott, a multi-billionairre investor who has outperformed "The Oracle" on an ROI basis for 20 some years, I think it safe to say knows a little more than you or I. In addition, here are some reasons why gold is, has and always will have instrinsic value:
1) No fiat currency or paper money of any kind has ever lasted more than a few hundred years, here we are in year number 140 or so of the USD and counting. Let me see, would I bet on the longevity of something that hs been around for a couple hundred years, or a couple thousand, or ten? no brainer. Kinda like comparing a reptile like a lizard or crocodile that has lived thru several mass extinctions in history, to a modern breed of fancy show dog, what would you bet will be around in 5000 or 50,000, years?
2) Gold is the only currency (other than maybe barter trade), that has no liability attached to it. Every piece of paper or note, is just a promise, an IOU. If the economy / world goes to sh*t and real disaster hits - what do you want, an IOU? I know what I would do under anarchy, and its not paying off my loans / obligations! again no brainer.
3) Having the physical properties as mentioned, Gold can not be destroyed, diminished, spoiled, or deteriorated, like other physical assets, ie houses, cars, art, etc etc etc.
The only things gauranteed in life are death and taxes, and GOLD !!!, and in an era like this I think words to live by !!!
