RE: The exodus from coal!!!

RE: The exodus from coal!!!The article posted was written by someone who, at best, is an uninformed Sierra Club wannabe. You see, the alternative to coal is nuclear energy, but the Sierra Club and the rest of the ""äctivists" don't like CO2 emissions, and don't like the spent fuel of nuclear energy. They repeatedly release false information and use unfounded scare tactics, to try and influence politicians and the public against these two types of energy. They erroneously say that wind and solar can provide the needed power, by knocking the the above power sources.
Saskatchewan, the Federal Government and North Dakota are planning a CO2 sequestration plant and using the captured CO2 to inject oil wells or storing it underground. Scrubbers will recover other contaminents. It is called "Clean Coal" technology. They forget to mention that the developing countries need power, and need it now, so they will build coal and nuclear plants. Coal is the most economically feasible form of energy, or perhaps hydro, which they also don't like. The easiest thing to do is to critisize and plant seeds of doubt and fear.
Personally I give the idiots on this board, that provide no information or back-up for their misinformed statements, any credibility at all.
Regards,
The Grizz
