RE: RE: High River aims for Burkina gold boost inShort story: Let them try it! Who is selling? Today: Chinese fire first warning to U.S. from Premier himself regarding holding/buying further debt in U.S. dollar. Take note, it means they are serious. Gold and HRG, both getting ready to move.IMO
Actually I do not miss that possibility of Severstal, but I do not think they will or possibly even can do it. Nobody is buying, nobody is selling, so why would anyone accept an offer for less???? I for one, can take the loss, and would reject any such offer to me. I can't speak for anyone else, but it would not matter to me, what implicit threats were possibly made or anything else. What WOULD MATTER TO ME, would be a complete crash of the metals prices, which I do NOT expect. Are you aware of minority shareholders rights, or about the complexities of votes from their side? They can do many things, but remember, if they are smart, it all gets down to what you can make, and how you do it. With a listing on Toronto, do you think if they screw all the current shareholders ANYONE is going to invest with them outside of Russia in the future??? They will gain little and lose lots.IMO There are many factors here to consider from their side. On this side, anyone can offer up their shares right now, if they feel they are somehow going to end up with less than the current price. Today, Friday, should see some lighten up, from the short term trader types.IMO I hope they push it down a couple of cents, and I will buy up those shares.
Another thing today of special note: the Chinese, THE PREMIER, no less, which means take it seriously, just fired what to me has been the LONG EXPECTED first warning shot to the U.S. regarding their currency, and what it means regarding future Chinese purchases of T-Bills. This is one of those, STAY FOCUSED on the REAL STUFF things.IMO
The Chinese, lest anyone forget are the BIGGEST buyers of U.S. debt. T-Bills etc. They are the biggest holders.
IF they start to shift, ask yourself to what exactly???? Try Gold maybe for a rising percent???
What did I just say a day ago? IF any big entity starts to move away from the dollar and into gold, it will rocket the price. So the corollary is: what choice do they have? Does ANYONE really think the U.S. dollar gets stronger from here? Why?
Gold: it is poised to move up, with volatility, trader and games by all the likely parties. But ANY move away from dollar means gold will eventually move MUCH higher.IMO
This is a patience game. A simple game actually. The ODDS are in favour of gold, and against the U.S. dollar for so many fundamental reasons, that it is ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to see another course. But anything is possible.
HRG: odds favour upward move over time, for most scenarios.IMO
Gold and HRG getting ready to move. IMO
