RE: New Varvinovsky plan up on sedar

RE: New Varvinovsky plan up on sedarIt took me a while to find this report.

I'm not a miner either, but I am an engineer and I do know how to write reports. I usually write them with a "summary" and a "conclusion". What struck me about this report was that there was no "conclusion". It was specifically a revised "Mining Plan Study" and the only actual  conclusion I could find was contained in the following two paragraphs:

-----

"Material movement will have to increase due to the below average strip ratio mined in the first 2 years. To ensure ore continuity total material movement will have to increase from 26 Mtpa to an average of 35.5 Mtpa over a five year period. At these mining rates, mining will be complete by 2016, with Float ore being stockpiled for processing through until 2019 (10 year processing life) and CIP ore being processed until 2016 (7 year processing life)."

"To increase mining production from 26 Mtpa to 35 Mtpa will require the following extra fleet. This would account for the extra material movement as well as the change in overall weighted productivity per truck. This equipment would need to be purchased and commissioned in 2010 and ready for production in 2011."

--------

Hopefully, the company will issue some guidance soon, as to what progress is being made and how the financial targets are being met. Past NR's indicate that these issues are being addressed. I would assume, therefore, that mining will continue in accordance with the revised mining plan.
