dpoc, chagii and others:

the best part is we're only just getting started.

Chagii - Q3 should be telling in terms of traction. i maintain they'll at breakeven or better. Q4 is the one that should knock the socks off everyone. Given all the great new titles coming onstream, all the new digital distribution agreements with other web properties that have way more eyeballs than GTO has so far, the added kick of retail (brick and mortar stores) sales, arguably more iPhone/iTouch titles...that's when we'll start seeing the true value and impact of their revenue model on profitability.

Spore will really start making its mark with the new Galactic Adventures expansion pack. every new title is a new revenue stream. every new Mac subscriber to MMOs like EVE Online and City of Heroes is also a new, recurring revenue stream. In spite of this economic meltdown (or given the propensity for cocooning in troubled times, as a result of the meltdown), i'm looking for full year revenues well north of $4 million, and double that next year (fiscal 2010).

Potential acquirers of this company down the road? EA, Ubisoft, Activision, Apple, Microsoft, Sony, Take Two Interactive...the list goes on and on...Remember, their only focus has been the Mac market (with a first dip into iPhone & iTouch), because of limited financial ressources, but their gameplan remains platform to platform portability, which they'll attack aggressively the minute they start generating positive cashflow. There's no limit to what they can do in this space (videogames is projected to be a (US) 46 BILLION dollar market in 2010).
