iShares 1-5 Year Laddered Corporate Bond Index ETF CLAYF


Primary Symbol: T.CBO

The investment objective of the Fund is to replicate, to the extent possible, the performance of the FTSE Canada 1-10 Year Laddered Government Bond Index (the Index), net of expenses.Under normal market conditions, the Fund will primarily invest in securities of one or more exchange-traded funds managed by BlackRock Canada or an affiliate and/or Canadian fixed income securities. The Index consists of semi-annual pay fixed-rate corporate bonds (including certain qualifying asset-backed securities) issued domestically in Canada and denominated in Canadian dollars. Securities must have an investment grade rating (as determined by the index provider) and a remaining effective term to maturity of between one and six years to be added to the Index.

RE: Brand NewMy take is that this is a low risk way to play financials which make up a huge percentage of this ETF.

Spreads between Corporates and governments look pretty attractive to me, at least.

Typically bonds recover before stocks coming out of recession - between this and HYG (US junk bond ETF) - am positioning myself.
