RE: Normal Course Issuer Bid

RE: Normal Course Issuer BidGargy what would be the advantage to the company to buy back shares and raise the stock price?  I really don't think they would do that just so the share holders value of stocks goes up.  The only advantage I see for doing that would be if they were planning on an equity financing and wanted to get the share price up so as not to further dilute the stock value by issues alot of new shares.  Don't get me wrong, I would love if they bought back shares.  Makes me that much closer to retirement.   The average investor and even the instituational buyers are still so wary.  If these things were happenning when the stock price was above 2$ 2 years ago, their stock would have definitely gone to $4.  They all seem to need absolute proof before investing, very gun shy (can't really blame them- seeing as how all the instituatiuonal assholes pretty much got us in this market mess).  Eventually though the investing community will not be able to ignore what is going on here and when they get some balls and come to the table this stock price will soar.
