I think that Leforrestier has it right with the idea of buying some bank shares. Buy what everyone else is buying. Some think this is the herd mentality but what if the collective heads all have it right. The changing accounting rules should lessen the writeoffs and make them more profitable.  I realize that their are still a lot of writeoffs to come and nothing has any degree of certainty but Cdn banks are among the most stable in the world. However, I also thought that holding a company that was in the top decile of the industry for proven and probable cost of less than 0.50 per barrell was a good idea. Now Calvalleys going down even when oil is up. Is their more unrest in Yemen?
