In the UK any holdings in a public company over 3% +, and any changes thereafter,  have to be notified to the Stock Exchange. I believe in Australia the top 20 holdings have to be periodically released. I am not sure what the rule is in Canada but seem to recall that 10% is the disclosure level. A 3% disclosure would, and does here in the UK, give small shareholders an insight into what is going on. GLTA and have a good long weekend.
