RE: A Case Study?I think that's a very fair summary, Mudcreeker, but I think you are missing the point that the vast majority of investors do NOT make their investment decisions based on the contents of Bulletin Boards. I don't believe that the spike in the SP of CYP recently had anything to do with the information posted here. I had much more to do with the Due Diligence that each investor should have done in respect of the prospects of the company. When I bought into CYP nearly two years ago it was because I felt they had land holdings in the right place, I know I should have waited another year but at that time I did not expect the global economy to go into meltdown. It appears that the air of gloom surrounding Stock Markets internationally may be lifting and on that basis the impending assay results may be coming at the right time. Nobody knows what these will be but it is not unreasonable to assume they will be 'interesting' . Investment is about risk and reward. Buying shares in an exploration company is a high risk strategy but the rewards are also high when your judgment is proved correct. As I have said before, investors invest for many different reasons and CYP is no exception. Some people trade the stock actively, others hold for the big payday. Neither is wrong and no one ever gets it 100% right.
A bulletin board is there for an exchange of views and displays of enthusiasm about this, or any other, company should be treated with caution. Life would be much duller if Boards like this did not exist.
