cookies for schmoo!!!! The ultimate truth. Incredible opportunities seem to follow hard work. I don't think anyone should bet the farm on any venture exchange company (or any one stock).
In 1989 I was undecided about whether to buy a Harley or buy stock in the company. A good friend (more a mentor) said I should buy the stock and in ten years I'd have the bike and the money. I bought the bike (87 sportster, paid 6k...it was brand new right out of the crate!). I loved the bike, owned it about 4 years and sold it for 5500.
Had I put the 6K into the stock in 89...(coincidently the shares were 89 cents) and sold them exactly 10 years later..........my 6K would have turned into 198,859.00 (not counting any dividends received in that time).
Could someone please drive over here and hit me repeatedly with a blunt object!
P.S......for those doing the math..........selling price was 29.50..........I would have had $ 163,000. after the taxman cut his chunk off......which would have bought me an Electra Glide (35K taxes in), A Buell Lightening (14K taxes in), A 25 ft SeaRay cuddy with a 7.4 merc(54 K with trailer, taxes in) GMC truck to pull boat (40K taxes in) and 20k left over to spend on fresh air and good times...
P.P.S......I've ruined my own day.........going home to get drunk with no bikes, no boat, no truck and no cash
