RE: RE: china open pit shale... just something i came across and thought it would be a starting point to get info and opinions.  the article breaks down the $ 18.46  , but doesn,t  give the percentage for labour cost.   It is interesting to see them using UMATAC industrial,s ATP processor to treat the small size shale  that their system couldn,t . I wonder what the cost  of producing open pit oil shale  would be compared to oil sand.  would  the oil shale plant or plants be less complex than oil sand plant.?  They also mentioned that they mined coal and got the shale as a by product. Interesting!!
    I believe that if the oil sands went ahead that the shale oil will also. It may be even more cost efficient than the oil sands. India or china may come knocking.,or any of the big oil sands or mining companies.?
