RE: RE: trading is warfare

RE: RE: trading is warfarethe keen analysts do visit the sites, but trust me its not on their own agenda.  All operations put on a "dog and pony" show, the same way they do for the big wigs, and only things that are positive are seen and heard. typically they are escorted by company rep who is a"gung ho" and great at PR and euphemizing any negative stuff away.

you are right, if an analyst went on his own or undercover, and showed up like a tourist they may find out more.  But theres a bias built in, its hush hush at these operations to badmouth head office or what goes on, since their jobs depend on it, and also any failures or poor decisions that hurt the operation are viewed as their failures anyhow, so they typically wont highlight that stuff, especially to tours.

In the pub however, especially after a few beers, the truth is spoken, and jokes are cracked at the expense of the pencil pushers and suit jockeys, and how hard it is to work for a bunch of guys in an office 100s of miles away think they are responsible for company profts, when in reality, the operations are the profit center, and head office is nothing more than a cost sink.
