Merry Month of May on Tap?Tartam was on target for one of the announcements, although I believe some on this board thought it might have prior to market open. Also indicated was "(One of) the big days", and according to the Cymat Investor Presentation there are an additional 2 milestones associated with a May 2009 timeline:
- Completion of the SmartMetal data set
- Receive production order from Canada
As well, recently in the news have been BAE, General Dynamics/Force Protection and OskKosk which have recently submitted newer test vechicles for the US Forces at Aberdeen testing ground. This may play into the further Cymat milestones anticipated next month. Speaking of Aberdeen Testing ground I came across an article of interest that showed a rare glimpse inside FCS Armor. No specific details but interestingly, this arcticle mentions the following quotes:
"Next to it was a big thick wad (maybe three inches thick) of surprisingly light aluminum"
"Ernie Chin, from the Army Research Laboratory, told us that some armor variants involve ceramics or other materials bonded to metal matrices (of which there were several examples including one that looked a lot like a honeycomb), perhaps with layers of glass, plastics or other more exotic materials. “The whole point is, how do we put all this together,” he said.
All these materials had apparently been used in the search to create the “B” armor for FCS".

Good Luck to All
