First of all, let's get the facts straight - Voclo is not inferior in efficacy to cyclo and it is disingenuous to say that - voclo at the very specific dosage that they utilized in the European studies (which, as with all these tests, is in part a dose finding study) is not as effectual as cyclo (at its typical dosage) for a minority of patients - dial it up and it is every bit as effective and safety wise there is a lot of room. Also Paladin wouldn't have undertaken to apply for Canadian NDA unless is was pretty sure it was going to get it; granted, it is still ahead if it doesn't get it because of the tax losses, but having to announce a failed NDA application a year from now is hardly going to do its share price any good.

Second, there may not be much more needed for NDA in Europe although another US phase III for the US for sure - clearly they need other partners if they want to go full board in the US and Europe simultaneously and definitely to proceed with transplant, or else they are going to have to wait for milestones from Lux to do this - I don't know how much $7M buys you towards NDA in Europe alone although I would have thought a lot.  I would bet a very expensive scotch that they are already in discussions with other partners to partner on a geographical basis.
