I would put your prophesy about a buy out in just about the right time frame. The product will be on the market and proving itself.
As Dawson pointed out, there are no doubt acquirers looking at the company already. I would suspect some one like Schneider who took out Xantrex would be quite interested, amongst others. Our solar relationships that have been established would be an asset I would think as long as they don't make a take over too constrictive with existing legalities. I would think the opposite though. It makes it more established and desirable.
SET obviously has impressed the recent capital investors who from their past record and background know a good thing when they see it and have been watching this for two years now. We have an active director/invester with and impressive Intel background. Not too shabby! And our production director from First Solar appears to have been an excellent choice as well. I do like the switch to the new manufacturers. Something tells me that there were problems with the past Sunergy one in China. The website that was advertising the Sunergy in China disappeared abruptly after inquiries to the company. I don't think they were aware of it until then. Never did get an explanation although I received an early response that they were looking into it. Thanks to Reduce for spotting that site. I suspect, although I have nothing to back it up, that it helped.
A year ago April, Mr. Carten, during a radio interview, predicted, as well, that the company would be taken out (remember that term is not to be construed as negative) within 24-36 months.
Your mid 2010 is definitely in that time line.
Now for some solid contracts and get that production line a rollin.
