Selling to the public
Selling to the publicThe new little add on their website says that they will be open from 9am to 5pm Mon-Fri and that online ordering will be available soon.
Have any of you who somewhat local to this company heard about FTE outside of your own searches? Have they done any advertising? I know there was a radio interview and an article in a local magazine. Beyond that, is there any chance that the public has heard of these guys? Any customers from the trade shows are unlikely to show up during the day. I looked at the location of the plant on google map and it seems out of the way - so most people who stumble across it would do so onpurpose?
Their presence on google continues to be a disapointment. There is only a link to the website (the website layout is nice, but they should be using the website way more efficiently to at least show some of the results of the 5 million $ of R&D they did) followed by news releases about filling company positions. The pie-in-the-sky bombastic news release continues to be one of the top results:
"By the end of June (2008), the company expects to be
producing more than 25 tons of worm castings per week. In July, it plans to
double this 100-tons-per-month output and expect to increase it again in August
to 400 tons, then 800 tons in September, and so on."
What are your impressions about the chances that people will show up? Have you seen any effort to advertise to the public? I doubt anyone but interested speculators/traders/investors are taking much interest in their stagnant webpage.
