RE: RE: Online ordering
RE: RE: Online orderingThinking about it, I have to put in the disclaimer that my figuring could be way wrong. I'm trying not to rely on the numbers given by FTE because I've found that more than half of them have turned out to be bogus or really bad projections.
However, here are some other numbers that present a discrepency. If there are 20,400,000 worms (20,400 lbs) and 60,000 sq ft (6000 m2) of bed space then you've got about 3.5 lbs/m2 of worms. In order for the beds to produce 2 tons/month of marketable castings then they need 5 tons of food per month. Using 6 m2/bed again that works out to 30kg of food per m2. If the worms, as they say, eat 3x their mass in food then they need 10kg of worms/m2, or 22 lbs. That is 22,000 worms/m2.
Using the figure of 20,400,000 million worms that translates to ~1000 m2 of production area, or 10,000 sq ft of production area.
Those numbers make sense. They don't reconcile. I emphasize that my figuring could be way wrong, but geez, I'm using real cited numbers and this just isn't working out. I've wasted a lot of time on this today and last night and it isn't making sense.
I am sure that what they are feeding whoever is reading are not realistic numbers. I am confident in that. If I had a major stake in this and I was being fed the public numbers then I would be having some words with the guys at FTE right now.
