Unclassified Document from ARL

Unclassified Document from ARLI found this very interesting unclassified document from the Army Research Lab (ARL) from May 2001. It is dated but definitely on topic since it is titled "Application of Aluminum Foam for Stress-Wave Management in Lightweight Composite Integral Armor".

Interesting to compare with Cymat SmartMetal and the fact this is in demand in the Military World. Very impressive list of World Miltary and Corporations that were on the distribution list of this test report. Of course Aluminum Foam out performed the baseline tests, and we know that specifications are currently being revised and tested to accomodate newer threats such as IEDs etc.
