Capacity
CapacityHi Sky:
I noticed the reference in this article to the "100,000 ton per year lead mine" just after I had listened to the Web cast of the IVW conference call. Early in that call the capacity was referred to as 85,000 tons per year of concentrate. I know this is not significant in the big scheme of things but it just pointed out to me, as someone who knows little about mining, how easy it is to come up with the wrong number when you read things quickly. I assume the writer of the article was talking about ore tonnage rather than concentrate. Any attempt to then put dollar figures on the production number requires distinguishing between concentrate and actual lead etc. etc. So I conclude that I'll just wait for the numbers to evolve and see what the dollars are after all the shipments are made, ore becomes concentrate, concentrate becomes lead and somebody signs a cheque. Makes life interesting anyway...........
