Your comments are well stated and represent the feelings and comments that you posted, Your presentation was excellent although it, in my mind, suggested some sinister dealings. I believe the BOD et al were a bit taken back by the suggestion. Nonetheless, it put the fire on their feet and you made your point very well. Personally, I don';t believe they are paid well by many standards but the potential to do well - as it should be, is certainly there. If you pay bananas, you get monkeys and that is certainly not what I want.
The geos, George Read, Peter, etc. are part of an experienced team, perhaps one of the best in the world.
I look back at the successes - Kensington, DeBeers and that fiasco, Newmont. Now we are moving forward with 43 101 Reserves, Bankables and permitting within a year. All the big guys are apparently involved and it is a turning out to be world class resource. The resolve of REadm, Ken et al are impressive, and i don't think are an act.
The issue, of course is the stock price. Nobody is happy. I owned Teck at $40 and it went to $4. Canadian Banks were impervious but went from $70 to $40. Quality companies are being nailed by "Vulture Funds" and fighting for cash to make payrolls. Foreign Govt's are workking through their state owned companies to take control.
I am optimistic, not to $20 or $12 like we all used to be, but for the project to go ahead.
Once it does - 50 K tons a day, at 18 cpht, at $227 per carat, and a cost  of $10/ton is a huge huge deal.
One thing that again was disspelled was that the pit is not a problem for the River and the River is not a problem for the pit. The Government (politics) is not an issue
I am perhaps a bit more optimistic, trusting and the like than some others - we had a quick chat after and all of us appear to be on the same page, at least in the same chapter of the same book.
Well done smallblock - you have larger kahonies than I do. It takes a lot to do what you did.
The shrimp trawler didn't make it to port, so Crocky missed the shrimp tree.

The Grizz
