RE: how dose this play outWho knows, because the people that should represent your interests, probably don't. This is the scenario that most believe is correct it seems. In fact, if true, under this set of events, they try to screw you and all shareholders, except themselves of course. As well under this scenario, they would have investor relations working with them as well - to make sure there is as little interest as possible and part frustrated folks and their stock. I said that I parted with the bulk of my position, because regardless of how I see the value of the assets, and under ANY normal circumstance I believe the stock would be trading FAR HIGHER on these assets, I saw, from my point of view, a bunch of REAL CCKSCKERS not worth anything, and certainly not anything much from me. I changed, as stated, because I think I was wrong on my risk/reward, or at least the risk part rose, while the reward seemed reduced in potential. Now: risk and reward: risk high reward still possible but less likely.IMO Does not mean it does not happen, just odds changed as I see it.
When you have a BOD and management who appear to be against you, appear to not want the price to rise, it is difficult. Yes it can end up with a higher bid than the now claimed .18 fantasy, or was it real bid (how do you know anything for sure here, or believe anything said???) And many can speculate on this potential. Or they completely screw over shareholders with some other twist. Who knows, they may work something out with the Russian Gov and end up with all the Russian assets in some other hands, who can say??. Say whatever, but if the past is any indication, anything can happen, and therein lies the risk of course. If you want my odds, they are now split 50-50 between a disaster and something around .25-.35 per share. I see an off chance that somebody else steps in and takes over, but few will mess with such a corrupt situation and region as I see it. There is no emotion on my side when it comes to my investment decisions. I seperate them from what I think about the people involved. In other words, I sold the bulk, on the change in risk and greener pasteurs other places. It does not bother me what happens now, in that sense. I learned long ago to have an investment approach that dictates action and looking clearly at possible outcomes, and moving on. I have the much reduced position, which I will keep on the pure speculation that something works out.
But as for what I think about the actors here, both the Russians and previous Canadians. They appear made for each other, and will end up having screwed eachother, the shareholders I suppose and themselves probably. Meanwhile life moves on and there are fantastic opportunities out there ALWAYS. You win some, you lose some. I hold on average about 20 stocks at a time. I figure on 20 percent of the higher risk being a loss, 40% end up ok, and 20% real winners. Right now I am actually ahead on those averages, but over time am happy if that proves to be the case. My 10 stocks posted, are actually showing an average gain of over 100% if you care to follow them and unlike Stockhouse, are able to calculate the returns. Two losers (20% ) but 8 winners at this point in time on those 10, of my about 20 stocks held. I am moving into cash as we speak however, and have been reducing my exposure on all fronts, taking some of the profits, as well as selling the losers and stocks I saw had reduced potential from where they were, like I did with HRG.
