i always dismiss posts that include phrases like "i talked to a friend" or "my buddies on bay street say X". They are not offering evidence; they are asking for your deference. Anyways, some of us have done some research on AAA. If you yourself did some more research, perhaps you would find the answer to some of the questions you posed. You might also do some research on how the world has changed over the past 50 years.
