hmmm... i cant get this go off of italics.  Anyways, i am not convinced that past patterns dont influence trading. I see nothing inherent in those patterns which would influence the future, but if people think they are significant--and, in practice use them as significant info--then those patterns can be important.  I dont believe that people, including investors, are as rational as we like to think.  If people refer to previous patterns in their decionmaking process, then those patterns help structure current decisions.   It may not always be "rational", but it may simply be the case.  

Even so, i guess previous patterns with small and micro caps are less influential, given how they can be easily toyed with.    Anyways, i saw a swallow flying low under the willow tree...so i am predicting a 10 cent close ;-)
