I posted way, way, way back that Nexen would buy OPTI - they own most of it already.  When OPTI gets some wheels under it (production wise) - Nexen will be in better position to buy it - and by buying OPTI they will instantly add to their bottom line...why wouldn't they!!!  

Everyone is waiting for a Total or some other very large major to take out Nexen and OPTI - I think there are going to be surprizes ahead - like maybe IMO Imperial oil - coming in. Or... Canadian Oil sands.   Not too many people saw Petro Canada and Suncor getting together either.  

Total could buy BQI up for pocket change and get an area with oil the size of almost all the Alberta side of the tar sands.

OPTI is a hold no question...time is on your side...on this play.
