RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: talkswitch...Confirm April 22,I called Nicole and we talked about this paragraph

"b)
Contingencies:
(i)
On April 22, 2009 the Company received a notice of complaint from the U.S. Department of Justice representing the Environmental Protection Agency alleging the Company had violated specific provisions of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act relating to the generation, storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous wastes at the Jerritt facility. The Company is currently reviewing the complaint and the specific allegations and will respond accordingly. The final outcome and the extent of any liability is not yet determinable"

You will find this paragraph in probably every mining companies report.  Someone has petitioned the EPA go after a rule change in the mining act to say that mine waste is not mine waste, but a separate waste product. like waste from the milling process is not a mining waste, the liquid in the tailing ponds is not a mining waste..etc.

Every mine is affected by this proposed change including the likes of Barrick, Newmount etc. I can't see the US Government shutting down all their mines when the Feds and states receive royalty payments from the mining process.

What we have here is a bunch of tree huggers trying to close mines

I hope this helps..........Richard
