Deep Venture drill ship heading to EnerGulf's 1711 block? By Jon Nones 17 Mar 2008 at 03:30 PM RI has been alerted to a rumour that the Deep Venture drill ship is currently under contract to EnerGulf Resources [TSX-V:ENG] and others, but up until quite recently under contract to Exxon, and is today, Mar 17, 2008, steaming toward the 1711 block drill site in the Kunene field off Namibia. In mid-February, EnerGulf advised shareholders that the release date of the rig from ExxonMobil would be in early March. However, the timing of the rig’s release for drilling the Kunene #1 on Block 1711 remains subject to the conclusion of ExxonMobil’s drill program for its well in Angola. More coverage of this development to come shortly. Shares spiked as high as C$3.35 today before easing back to C$3.13, down 7 cents on the day.
