PetroVista Energy Corporation (TSX VENTURE:PTV) ("Petro Vista" or the"Company") and its wholly owned Colombian subsidiary, Petropuli Ltda("Petropuli"), announced today test results from the Morichito #1N welllocated within the Morichito Block in the Llanos Basin in Colombia.Good oil shows were encountered while drilling and log data indicatedseveral potential pay zones, however, upon testing these zones provedto be water wet.

Six zones, including the Paleozoic, CretaceousUbaque, Gacheta and Tertiary Carbonera C7 were tested. Though waterwet, all zones, with the exception of the Paleozoic, indicate goodreservoir development and the Company looks forward to drilling itsnext Morichito well on this promising prospect. The Company was fullycarried on this well and also will be partially carried on the nextwell pursuant to farm-out agreements reached earlier in the year.

TheMorichito #1N well was the first of a two-well commitment the companyhas on its Morichito exploration license with the Colombian NationalHydrocarbon Agency. There remain several strong leads and prospects onthe block and a full evaluation will be carried out over the next fewmonths in preparation for the next well.
