RE: Montreal Gazette - June 17, 2009

The Gazette news has some false info that makes me wonder about the quality of that journalist.

1) The Ottobock joint venture has nothing to do in helping the Power Knee go to market.  The power knee has been developed and commercialised for Ossur exclusivelly.  Ossur is the biggest competitor of OttoBock.  Be sure that they made sure that all the funding goes strickly to the joint venture and that the bionic and neuromodulation division are clearly separated.  There is not alot of money left in the Victhom outside of the JV.

2) The Power Knee will be produced in Iceland by Ossur and not in Quebec city

3) What most news haven't said about the joint venture is that once Ottobock invests the full $30M, they will owe 75% of the joint venture and Victhom only 25%.

4) The Power Knee is not connected to the patient nervous system.  They are probably confusing it with the neurostep.
