Advice needed please?

Advice needed please?Dear team,
while  I am sweating and nackered, due to the heat of BK,I have a special reguest.

I have visited  4 major jewllery shps in Bangkok and been shocked.
The beautiful  Thai jewellery is selling near the spot price of gold.I yhink it is 7-8 % above spot . Heck,in NZ gold coins are 6-7 above spot and jeweellery will get a 12.5 % GS  tax too.

Here are examples I got today.

15.5 grams of 96.5% gold.Price today about $740 NZ.-about $470 USA.I have better details on the other 2.

30.4 grams(near an ounce)96.5 % =31,000 baht.Divide by 33 for USA.$940.

Or a heavy man's bracelet.46.5 grams,cost today at  USA $1409.

Now I do not own jewllery yet,but am fairly sure in NZ gold jewellery sells for 2-3 times its metal content.Mostly too 7 ,12 or 18 carat. Not 96.5 %

Basically, are these deals as good as the sound to me?This is sincer,I have never bought gold jewellery before.
For instance, how much is gold jewllery above its metal content value in the USA or Canada?

The Goldsmiths are in Suhumvit Road mostly and serious outfits so I do not think a swindle lightly.

All opinion welcomes.

PS buried jewelley at leasts looks good when loked at
