Story Time

Story TimeWell I have a bit of time to tell another story. Many moons ago we were working on a Listwenite showing the main focus was to find gold in Rhyolite anomalies. it was one of those summers where it was all fly in camps, after a couple of months tempers started to show there ugly form when no one has seen town for a few months.
We found an outcropping that had some promise and decided to do some trenching and called the blasters in.
The trenching site was just over the crown of the hill. Before the plunger went down and the big boom occurred the blaster told us where to be that it would be safe. There was four of us that went to the area that he told us that would be safe which was a fair way from the piece of earth that was about to torn and gouged into a trench for we could chip sample it and send the samples to the lab.
So here we sit waiting for the big blast to go off we were all relaxed because we were told that we would be safe.
When we heard the thunderous explosion and the earth shake around us we knew we were in trouble when rocks the size of footballs started falling out of the clear blue heavens bouncing off the solid earth around us like pieces of death ready to destroy our existence.
We have been taught that when something like this happens that you are suppose to lay in the 3/4 prone position and not move. All of us started darting around like chickens with there heads chopped off even the hard core old Geo.
It's truly amazing that none of us got a scratch on us. I never seen a blaster move so fast across that terrain he was gone like a shot with all 4 of us on his heels, when we caught up to him he begged us for his life which we didn't want to give him, because the reality of the situation gave way to our desire to harm the blaster for putting us in that situation.
As crew chief I use to like trenching because the dirt baggers would chip the rock and I would bag it and tag the samples for the lab. Prospector7
For you new people on this BB I was asked to tell a story while we wait just wanted to add that.
