Q1 versus Q2...without one time items

Q1 versus Q2...without one time itemsQ1 earnings: Teck Cominco Limited (TSX: TCK.A and TCK.B, NYSE: TCK) announced that net earnings were $241 million, or $0.50 per share,

Q2 earnings: VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - 07/22/09) - Teck Resources Limited (TSX:TCK.A - News) announced net earnings of $570 million, or $1.17 per share, in the second quarter.

I would say that the Q2 report confirms that TCK is well on it's way to recovery...they have managed to significantly reduce their debt exposure.

We'll know how investers feel about today's report when the bell rings in the morning...actually TCK listed in the US will start pretrading long before the official opening of markets at 9:30AM ET
