RE: VITERRA & CANOLAIt kind of puts in perspective how small BXI's plant is in Saskatoon--40,000/yr compared to 350,00/yr.
It makes me wonder how from an economies of scale angle BXI can compete.
They make a "premium product" because of their extraction process but I don't think their premium pricing makes up the differance.
It brings into focus how important the production of protein will really differentiate BXI from other crushers.That is their niche.
I think of all the players out their Viterra is the most likely candidate to try to buy BXI.Producing canola protein would round out their product line--in fact it is inevitable Viterra would want to get into protein production one way or another.
