RE: Drilling from shoreI know that they tried before and failed because the rig wasn't big enough so the company was talking to another drill contractor i believe from canada that said it wouldn't be a problem. What lays at the bottom of that pit could very well be alot bigger than anyone thinks as in africa the deposits can go down as far as 1 or 2 km!  That would probabley give the sp a little boost
