I think the question is... as a driller, why would you take a speculative deal and not demand cash to cover your business requirements, such as operating and payroll etc.

He's asking for your perspective, as if you were the CEO of a this drilling company and someone owed you $700k in outstanding payables.

 

I can say that I have worked in P&NG exploration for a number of years in the past and have never heard of a deal like this on the table that ushered in good news and new partnerships... especially not a deal with a service company who simply drills holes and brings nothing to the table once exploration is complete.
