Actually I read this story some 4 year back. It was an editorial on gold-eagle.com with the same title but a different author.

Same idea. A guy goes into his local library and goes through all the microfilm from papers from the 70s to the early 80s.
Same examples. Juniors like Lion Mines...replete with the "this is not a typo/misprint" disclaimer.
Hmmm... Two different guys claiming the same story.
Would be nice to more about those five stocks vis a vis the size of the junior market back then.
